A little bit about Gloria

Gloria Spratt graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2000 and completed ‘Therapy in Disorders of the hand’ course,  Master of Health Science (Physiotherapy) in 2006.

She has 16 years of clinical experience, having worked for much of those years in a Hand clinic before joining Zone 34. Gloria also works at Liverpool Hospital working alongside Rheumatologists treating conditions such osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory conditions.

Gloria is passionate about everyone achieving optimal recovery following injuries and fulfilling their potential. She  is an APPI trained Pilates instructor, and runs Zone 34’s pilates classes. A full member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Australian Hand Therapy Association, Gloria also holds the internationally recognised qualification of Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) USA.

Gloria has extensive experience from treating professional athletes, to musicians, through to injuries sustained from daily computer use.

She has a keen interest in treating sports related injuries including:
  • Fractures, dislocations, and ligament injuries
  • Joint instabilities, such as Skier’s Thumb (UCL sprain) and Scapholunate or Ulnacarpal instability
  • Tendon injuries such as Mallet Fingers, Pulley injuries in rock climbers, Oarsman’s wrist (intersection syndrome), DeQuervain’s syndrome, and Tennis/Golfer’s elbow
  • Nerve related conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

She is also able to create any customised splints to assist in healing and return to maximal function.
