The transition from study to working in private practice and sport is challenging. Practical hours are limited, and private practice MSK placements have understandable limititations of the scope of practice for students.

Sydney Kings and Sydney Flames basketball internships allow students to gain  insight into working in professional sport.  Zone 34  Sports Physiotherapists are actively involved in the mentorship of the physiotherapist interns engaged by the clubs, with 6 month internships based around the NBL season.

Lead Physiotherapist David Hillard has over 10 years of experience working across the WNB and NBL, and has been the Head of Medical Services at the Australian Boomers since 2017.
